Dr. Brenita Nicholas is a Professor of Social Work at MVNU. She holds a Ph.D. from The Ohio State University and brings with her national and international experience in her field of expertise. A Fulbright Scholar, Dr. Nicholas spent 12-months of qualitative field work and semi-structured interviews exploring the needs, networks (the creation and use of social capital), and resiliencies among Romanian street children in Bucharest, Romania. Professor Trudy Singletary is an Assistant Professor of Social Work and Department Chair. She is an MSW graduate from West Virginia University University.
