Engineering is a rewarding discipline with a variety of exciting occupational possibilities. It is also among the highest paying career fields. According to the Bureau of Labor and Statistics, Electrical Engineers earn a median salary of more than $84,000 and Mechanical Engineers earn more than $78,000. Professor David Winyard, Associate Professor of Engineering, has worked as an engineer for thirty-seven years. His extensive experience includes twenty-two years at the Naval Surface Warfare Center and another fifteen years at the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA). In 2012, he retired from being a full-time engineer in order to pursue a Ph.D. at Virginia Tech. He is a member of the American Scientific Association (ASA). Read More
Dr. David Che, earned his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering at University of Michigan, and has served in many capacities in his engineering field nationwide. He is a member of several professional engineering organizations including the American Society of Engineering Education (ASEE) and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.
